Television, live & multicam

A live-directing practice combining multicamera capture, control-room operation, broadcast and technical coordination.

Field of practice

Aboubacar Bablé Draba directs live systems that combine multicamera capture, control-room operation, broadcast and technical-team coordination for concerts, festivals, television programmes and cultural events in Mali and Burkina Faso. Depending on the event, he deploys his own cameras, control room and crew.

From 2014 to 2015, he directed the television programme PHIPHI SHOW, broadcast on ORTM. This work forms part of a continuing practice in live directing and event production.

BAM’ART — Audiovisual production & live broadcast

From 2019 to 2025, DPM handled BAM’ART’s monthly audiovisual production: multicamera capture, live directing, video control-room operation, technical coordination and large-screen broadcast.

Music videos were one of Aboubacar Bablé Draba’s first fields of directing, with part of this work credited under the name Lesky or Lessky Dopé. From the first Dark-Face Films productions to projects developed with DPM Group, this selection spans more than a decade of musical image-making.
